Over $9,000 of in-kind donations for Safe Steps during November!

Thursday 22 Dec 2016

First of all, thank you to everyone who made a body care purchase during the month of November!
We raised $9,138 of in-kind donations for Safe Steps, a Family Violence Response Centre for women and children, who have been driving their cause for over 40 years in Victoria with no reason to stop now.

In the past year alone, Safe Steps has received over 70,000 call to their 24-hour family violence response line and have provided over 20,000 bed-nights, many of whom are women who are at high risk of injury or death at the hands of a partner, ex-partner or family member. Their priority is ensuring that these women and children experiencing family violence are taken to safety.

The centre provides emergency accommodation, a free 24-hour crisis phone line, outreach services, advocacy, referral, and information and support services to enable women and children to become – and stay – free from violence.
As a strong advocate for non-violence, we set out on a mission to donate one of our triple milled bar soaps for every purchase made from our body care range to those in need.

288 Hand & Body Wash orders = $6,912
143 Hand & Body Soap orders = $2,002
340 Tsuno Pads orders = $224.40
TOTAL: $9,138

It is part of our formal commitment policy through B Corp to uphold and drive the change we seek in this world by utilising our influence for the force of good. That is why we promise to donate at least 2% of our revenue including in-kind donations to registered charities every year.
If you, or anyone you know, is experiencing family violence, please call the Safe Steps 24/7 family violence response phone line 1800  015 188.
