Benefits of water permeable nail polish

Wednesday 15 Mar 2017

For most of your life, lacquer-based nail polishes were the only products on the market. Since introducing water permeable nail polish, we’re pretty sure you won’t go back.

The two main reason we chose to make our entire range water permeable is it’s healthier for your nails and it provides a longer lasting manicure. Non-breathable nail polish creates a solid film over your nail, whereas our water permeable nail polish has tiny holes in the molecular build up not visible to the naked eye.

Longer lasting manicure

The only reason nail polish chips are because your natural oil builds up on your nail and your nail polish doesn’t grip to it anymore, that’s the reason why your friend may keep it longer than you can. Every person’s nail are different and can be contributed to different diet and lifestyle factors.

Healthier for your nails

Oil is able to push through the polish and then washed off your hands. When this natural oil gets trapped, your nail may begin to rot or end up soft from not being able to breathe.

Here are some other benefits you’ll want to consider before your next purchase.

Application made easy

With our French brushes, a two-stroke application is all that’s required. Our bristles are curved to the shape of your nail. Talk about luxury.

Little nasty smell

We strip out a lot of bad stuff. While no nail polish can ever be fully free of chemicals, our 10-Free™ brand does not contain formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, camphor, formaldehyde resin, xylene, parabens, fragrances, phthalates and animal derived or tested ingredients.

Faster drying time

Only have 30 minutes before heading out? The quicker dry time means less smudging and fewer mistakes. This is a lifesaver when you’ve no time for using other products like a quick dry spray for your lacquer-based nail polishes. Who wouldn’t want to skip another step?

Longer lasting manicure

There’s debate over which lasts longer but we find we can go 5 to 7 days with any chipping. Our best recommendation is to use a non-acetone remover on your nails before applying any polish. This ensures a longest-lasting manicure. If your nail beds are oily, such as from moisturisers, it’s more likely to chip faster.

Correct your mistakes

The worst situation is when you’ve run out of nail polish remover or there’s none at hand. If you’ve got a wet cloth or cotton pad handy, you’ll be lucky enough to wipe clean any blotchy messes before the polish dries and wa-lah! Perfect nails every time.
